"Highs & Lows"
Acrylic on Canvas (9" x 12" /22.8 cm by 30.4 cm)

There was once a little girl named Karena.

She had two racoon friends (though they visited quite often and sometimes slept on her front porch, they didn't actually live with her, so they couldn't really be considered pets) who were named Sherman and Herman.  The rhyming names were purely a coincidence, as though they looked enough alike to be twins, they weren't blood related at all.

Sherman and Herman were polar opposites.  Sherman liked cold weather, Herman liked it hot.  Sherman was a fruit and veggies kinda guy, while Herman loved some junk food (especially cheesy poofs!).  Sherman liked sports, Herman was not athletically inclined and didn't enjoy at all watching people who were athletically inclined prance around on fields and courts proving their athletic inclinations.

Sherman's favorite place to hang out was up high in a tree, while Herman preferred to chill on a low stump.

On occasion, though, they do find middle ground (-- those are the times they spend snoozing on
Karen's porch --) because that's just how friends are friends!
